A Buddhist monk was with his student at the beginning of a long road. He asked, “Master, where does this road lead?” He replied to his student, “To the end.” The student asked again, “And where is the end?” The monk replied, “At the beginning.”
It was a quiet rather warm day, it smelled earthy. The wooden boardwalk was creaking as we stepped. The green leaves on the foliage of the trees hung over our heads. It was like a living tunnel. As we walked, some of the branches tickled our faces. Insects buzzed in and out of the sunlight that beamed through the small trees overhead. Sometimes, depending on the leaf coverage, you would be in darkness, sometimes in the heat of the sun. As you look down the end of the boardwalk, a new beginning is greeting us with darkness.
Meditation
Life can be like a walk in the woods, sometimes you are in the light of the sun. Sometimes you seem to be in darkness until you come again into the light. This road never seems to have an end it just keeps changing.

One of the greatest struggles is remembering that the light will return and this moment will pass.
Being an environmental science educator, has taught me that all energy passes through cycles and used over and over. The importance of keeping a balance of respect for them by all humans is so important to survival of humankind. Thus, the road begins and never ends just changes.
It is important that we always remember that light soon replaces darkness in the cycle of all energy
