When you are talking about trees that were popular years ago during the fall, the Paw Paw tree has a history. My first experience with the famous fruit tree was with my Grandmother Noice. <\/p>\r\n

On Sunday after church, we would pile into the machine. The machine, if I remember, was a black Packard. She always called cars “machines.” Also in the trunk was a picnic basket full of goodies for lunch. <\/p>\r\n

We would drive to a park, eat lunch then go on a hunt for nut trees, like walnuts, hickory nuts, and the excellent fruit from the Paw Paw tree. It was not unusual that we would sing the Paw Paw song. If you go to the link, it is in sing-along format. https:\/\/youtu.be\/aHu8VKD4Cvk<\/a><\/p>\r\n
