{"id":460,"date":"2017-04-08T13:43:02","date_gmt":"2017-04-08T13:43:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lifebylarabee.com\/?p=460"},"modified":"2022-07-24T18:56:30","modified_gmt":"2022-07-24T18:56:30","slug":"the-dragonfly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifebylarabee.com\/index.php\/2017\/04\/08\/the-dragonfly\/","title":{"rendered":"The Dragonfly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Its life is not so unusual, it eats, it breathes, it seeks shelter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It lives, it reproduces, it dies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">All life has purpose, even the dragonfly,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It is born from an egg,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It eats other insects,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It grows, mates, lays eggs,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It is eaten by a bird.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0The dragonfly looked me in the eye several times. He was curious as to what we might be doing in his territory. It was painted by nature with glowing colors and transparent wings that buzzed invisibly in the air. It seemed to warn us.\u00a0 It hovered in front of us until it lit upon a twig near us. Ever so fragile, it sat there so quietly watching us through compound eyes. We seeing just it, and it seeing multiple people.\u00a0 How trustful it seemed until we moved and the dragonfly was gone with a buzz.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meditation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To be one with anything requires patience and trust. It took a while for the dragonfly to land. We spent several minutes waiting while it looked us over.\u00a0 Then, at last, we could view his wonderful delicate body and take his picture. We took it slow and it was a wonderful experience.<\/p>\n<p>Did you ever wait for something good to happen? Sometimes it takes forever.\u00a0 Sometimes it involves a great deal of work. You sometimes are rewarded and of course sometimes not.\u00a0 But, not giving up we saw the dragonfly and that memory is still there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Its life is not so unusual, it eats, it breathes, it seeks shelter.
