Never Bee Without Your Honey

In many ways, we are both lucky and strategic in the way we approach life in our senior years. We met in 2012 and married in 2014. Our marriage brought together a blended family of five adult children, their spouses, eight grandchildren, one poodle, and one Maltese. Both of us spent decades working in jobs that gave us fulfillment and skills we now use in our retirement years. We refuse to spend our days sitting on the couch, eating bonbons, and watching TV. Instead, we fill our lives with purpose, breathing life into passions that were often displaced during our work years. We work not only on our creative paths but also on staying as healthy as possible by continually striving to maintain a healthy balance in our commitments, eating habits, and exercise.

We didn’t expect to find love this late in life.  Life is deliciously complex and surprising. It is never too late to live an unexpected life.
