Just Imagine
It is easy to forget that we are surrounded by an extraordinarily beautiful life of infinite possibilities. We are not alone; we live in a world that invites us to awe and wonder, to experience and contemplate marvels as vast as the universe, as fleeting as a flower’s petal, as abstract as the imaginary face within the tree’s bark, or as memorable as the relics from our past.
I invite you to let your imagination soar, relax, and immerse yourself in the grand experiment that is life on this fragile planet. Life is not meant to be lived small but fully, with every part of our being.
Welcome to Life by Larabee,
where imaginations run wild and peace is found in the magic of life.
Hi, I’m Deb
Mix up that media, I am here to stay. It is my secret sauce to explore art. As a self-taught artist, I dwell in watercolor, pastel, charcoal, graphite, and ink on paper, boards, and whatever else I can find that works. I have even sacrificed a few leaves, rocks, shells, and twigs in art experiments. What does not appear on some unsuspecting surface often ends up on the written page.
Blame the photography or my early fascination with fiction. Childhood is truly where it all began. But after many years of adventures and a few misadventures, my spirit yearned to express my own imaginative way of seeing life. I longed to express the creative lurking in the ordinary, to give life to the endless palette of shapes, lines, textures, and stories I encountered in everyday life. I wanted to paint and write the world I could not capture any other way. This world lives only in my mind and spirit. Thus, a new journey was born. To entertain life as a continual “what-if” has and continues to be one of my greatest joys.
Hi, I’m John
Let’s add some science. Add a splash of scientific fact, and you will have me. I have learned to appreciate all life that exists, seen and unseen. While Deb is a painter, my strength lies in my extensive knowledge of the natural world. As a retired science teacher, nature is a constant source of fascination for me, and I sometimes write about my discoveries as I travel and hike in natural settings. When something catches my creative eye, I often share these observations with Deb. Together, we are a team. Art and science often combine to explain cycles of the earth, the uniqueness of nature, and the harmony of the universe. To me, there is no end, just beginnings.
